Four Corners Dental Group began as a small pediatric dental office and was transformed into a full-service general practice when Dr. Pete Higgins, DDS, purchased the clinic in 2008. Dr. Higgins’ vision was to create a practice where patients of all ages could receive comprehensive, high-quality dental care in one location—combining advanced technology, skilled providers, and a patient-first approach. Over the years, that vision has guided our growth into one of Alaska’s most trusted and innovative dental groups.

We provide IV sedation dentistry, allowing patients to complete complex procedures in comfort. Our providers also perform endodontic (root canal) treatments—a service most general practices refer out. In addition, we are one of only two practices in Alaska licensed with Hybridge Lab to deliver full-arch, fixed restorative solutions. Thanks to our state-of-the-art digital and milling technology, we can create and deliver crowns the same day and dentures within two days, all manufactured entirely in-house without relying on outside labs. This level of precision, speed, and convenience is unmatched in our region.

Both Dr. Higgins and Dr. Hyer are veterans, and that background has inspired our ongoing commitment to supporting military families and service members. Dentistry is Dr. Pete Higgins’ fourth profession, and it perfectly blends his love of hands-on work, problem-solving, and serving others. Before becoming a dentist, he worked as a certified airplane mechanic, a journeyman in construction, and still proudly operates his gold mine in Fairbanks, Alaska—a venture he fondly describes by saying, “There’s nothing better than playing in dirt.”

A veteran, community leader, and active speaker at his Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Dr. Higgins brings a strong sense of purpose and integrity to everything he does. His diverse background and genuine care for people inspire the way he practices dentistry—combining skill, innovation, and compassion to help every patient feel confident in their smile.
